You may have noticed an uptick in questions coming through the SFU queue related to Canvas issues since a Research Help link is now available in all Canvas courses. This pilot started on September 8th and will be in place for the Fall semester.
The information on the News & Event page is directed towards faculty: News for instructors: Two new ways to connect with the Library in Canvas for Fall (https://www.lib.sfu.ca/about/overview/services-you/connect-canvas), so most students clicking on the link won’t necessarily be aware that AskAway is for research help.
To assist AskAway service providers who answer these questions, Canvas help has been added to the Help section of the SFU Policy Page with a link to SFU IT’s Canvas guide for students that can provide them with some guidance for known issues and contact info for IT help.
