VIU Catalogue Upgrade Mon Feb 23

Hello Everyone,
To enable a software update, the VIU Library online public access catalogue (OPAC) and all online Library services will be unavailable for the afternoon of Monday, February 23, 2009. The update process will begin at 1:30pm and will take approximately 4 hours.
The catalogue, Reserve system, interlibrary loan requesting and most off-campus access to online resources (excluding via VPN) will be unavailable. Users will be able to search the collection via Outlook Online and find resources using the Library’s alternate page at http://www.viu.ca/library/resources/MARLINalternate.asp.
This URL will be accessible from the Library's home page during the update. Circulation status of items in the collection will not be available.
All other resources on the VIU Library website will be available.
Library materials will continue to be signed out at the Service Desk of each Campus library. Assistance is available at the Service Desk and the Reference Desk (telephone 250-740-6151).
