At AskAway we all work together to provide great service to our patrons.
42% of our survey respondents indicated that they have "asked a colleague for assistance during a question via IM"
Here are some comments that also show the importance of co-operation between service providers:
"Really like it when an institution has a online subject guide I can show students from that institution."
"Informal email from librarians at other schools, letting us know about upcoming assignments etc. are very helpful."
"I have had some good exchanges with patrons and have picked up some tips from other libraries that I can use."
