Usage Statistics by Section

AskAway usage statistics are available by Section. Each spreadsheet below includes usage statistics per institution, totals for the service, and the average number of chats per day in each Section.

There are four AskAway Sections per year:

  • Section 1 (September to December)
  • Section 2 (January to April)
  • Section 3 (May to June)
  • Section 4 (July to August)

Statistics are compiled from data provided by LibraryH3lp and are publicly available from May 2019 to present, as AskAway transitioned to LibraryH3lp software in May 2019. For earlier statistics, contact the Admin Centre.

Interpreting the Statistics

Statistics do not include chats on the AskAway practice queue (askaway-practice) and unanswered chats. They may include lost calls and test sessions.

  • Sessions with Our Learners: Handled By Us – patrons at your institution helped by your service providers.
  • Sessions with Our Learners: Handled By Others – patrons at your institution helped by other service providers.
  • Sessions with Our Learners: Total – the total number of chats from patrons at your institution. It includes proactive chats.
  • Sessions with Other Institutions' Learners – patrons from other institutions that your service providers have helped.

When Statistics will be Posted

Statistics for the previous Section will be posted approximately two weeks after the term ends.
